Torrin - aged 10Fulmar

I have chosen the Fulmar because they are my favourite seabird, they are amber on the list.

I find them amazing and I find their beak absolutely fascinating. If an intruder comes onto the nesting territory the Fulmar brings up a smelly oil, which is from their stomach and sprays it all over the intruder. Even the young chicks can defend themselves in this way. The chick learns to fly at about seven weeks old. They are in trouble because of all the plastic in the sea and so I want to stand beside them.
