Forum “We Stand Beside”

With parallels to match-making apps, a species will be selected from a user-generated shortlist.
This will create a profile page on the community forum populated with user- and auto-generated content.

Eventually this collated information, scientific and cultural, auto-populated and user-generated alike would build into virtual books.
Animals, plants, fungi and Natural entities – the rivers, wetlands, oceans and mountains of our Earth, all made familiar celebrated and shared…
A valuable and unique living resource – a virtual library of ecological wisdom and creativity!

1. Species information, insights and multimedia content drawn from public domain and open access biodiversity knowledge providers and projects:

2. One of the most important things we want to do is automatically link champions to organisations and resources directly relevant to their chosen being using intelligent searches.  Links to directly relevant conservation-, citizen science- and education organisations and projects in the fields of biology, ecology, conservation, rights for nature and art-for-science.

This could be to relevant conservation organisations who focus on your being or its family:

Or perhaps organisations who work to protect the habitats where your creature lives:

Or the threats it faces:

As well as more general organisations doing incredible work in this area:

3. Connections to other users will be proactively formed (We Stand Beside…) by finding users who have chosen a related being (by habitat, location, taxon or threat), enabling members to collaborate, share experiences, and amplify their advocacy efforts. (Importantly we’ll link you to other members Standing Beside similar beings in the same family, or in similar habitats – i.e. your neighbours and relatives!)

4. Cultural narratives – community sourced or user-generated to deepen connection and understanding. The platform encourages creative celebration and storytelling, offering members opportunities to share and showcase their advocacy through art, writing, and media.
